Herrera was one of our first guest speakers nearly eight years ago when he told his story of service as a Raider\, his combat wounds\, struggles with recovery\, and the discovery of hope and inspiration. Since Capt. Herrera’s first appearance at the Scottsdale Gun Club event\, he has gone on to inspire thousands with his story of hope\, courage\, and belief in serving a greater cause.   \nIncluded in this year’s event will be food\, music\, live and silent auctions\, as well as opportunities to meet Marine Raiders and other heroes. \nProceeds will go to assist the Marine Raider and Mission2Alpha Foundations as they continue their missions of assisting our military and first responder heroes.

SUMMARY:2nd Annual Marine Raider "Raider Invasion" Golf Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Meet and play golf with Marines Raiders from the Special Operations Community.  In 1942\, the first two Raider Battalions were created to unleash highly trained Marines in the Pacific during World War II.  The battalions were decommissioned at the end of World War II until February 2006 when the Marine Corps stood up three battalions called\, Marine Special Operations Battalions. These battalions fall under Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) and US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). \nSince their rebirth in 2007\, they have deployed at an unprecedented rate and have upheld the tradition and deadly precision of the first Raiders.  In 2014\, the Marine Special Operations Command formally changed the name of this new band of Marine Special Operators to Marine Raiders.  In honor of these Marines and the service they provide\, the Marine Raider Foundation\, presents – Raider Invasion 2019.

DESCRIPTION:Get ready! Rucking for Raiders will be conducted its 3rd annual memorial march this spring. We will be conducted the same trek; 209 miles from Auburn\, AL to the Raider 7 Memorial in Navarre\, FL. The dates of the event will be May 7 – May 9\, 2019. \nLast year was an amazing success. In total\, we were able to raise $13\,574.15. That means that we have raised $24\,334.15 in just 2 years! 100% of those funds went to the Marine Raider Foundation with the purpose of supporting the Gold Star families of fallen Marine Raiders\, as well as Marine Raiders\, through the Tragedy Assistance & Survivor Support Program\, the Family Resiliency Program\, and the Raider Preservation Program. \nWe are extremely excited about this year and we encourage you to join us! 38 Ruckers took part in last year’s event and every one of them crushed it. SUMMARY:Marine Raider Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The Marine Raider Challenge is a 12-mile start to finish endurance race with an ocean fin\, hike\, pool\, and a finisher that will be led by a group of EXOS physical training staff. This event will be physically challenging\, but fun. There is no weight requirement for the hike. The course starts and finishes at the Pier in San Clemente\, CA and will take place on Saturday\, February 17th – Presidents Day Weekend. \nThe event will host (30) 2-man buddy teams who will be running to raise money for the SOF charity of their choice. The teams will be featured on our site and will set up individual fundraising pages via FirstGiving. This will create an opportunity for teams to share their story and why they are passionate about the cause they are supporting. \nPete\, Prime\, and Derek will raise money for Marine Raider Foundation through corporate sponsorship. \nCurrent and Former Marine Raiders and Direct Support are encouraged to sign-up. We will also be accepting a limited number of NAVSOC\, ARSOC\, AFSOC teams to participate in the event. \nAfter completing the event\, there will be an After-Party\, and awards presentation.  Volunteers and family members will also be invited to attend this event.

DESCRIPTION:Zia Rides will be back running the show at Dawn to Dusk – Arizona again on Saturday\, December 9\, 2017 at McDowell Mountain Regional Park. \nWe are working on some improvements/changes for 2017 that we hope you will like. First of all\, we are going to try something new by staging from the Four Peaks Staging Area instead of the Pemberton Trailhead. We hope this will alleviate the parking and space headaches and allow for more fun at the event venue. If it doesn’t work out\, we can switch back in 2018 to the old venue. Second\, we plan to keep much of the Pemberton Trail in the course. But\, we will have to make some updates with the addition of Cinch/Scenic trails on the way up to Pemberton Trail and Bluff/Granite/Shalmo Wash on the way back from Pemberton Trail. Third\, we are going to add some  age group categories for juniors\, masters 50+\, and old-timers 60+.  Finally\, with a slightly longer course\, we are going to give you a chance to go for a full 12 hours at Dawn to Dusk.
