We also provide funding to support rehabilitation\, health and performance programs and equipment. When a Raider makes the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our Nation\, we will offer support to his family by providing financial assistance for funeral travel and commemorative events\, respite childcare\, and events that keep MARSOC Gold Star families connected to one another and their extended MARSOC Raider family.\nFamily Resiliency – Raider family members who are facing difficult and challenging experiences will receive support through programs that bolster health\, welfare and resiliency. The Marine Raider Foundation helps Raider families with out-of- pocket expenses related to family medical emergencies\, including those of special needs family members. Our programming includes support for events that enhance morale and resiliency and reintegration post-deployment.  The Family Resiliency Program is structured on the belief of empowering the spouses and children of Marine Raiders to help them navigate life in the Special Operations realm.\nRaider Support – As active duty and retired Raiders transition out of the military and approach their next mission in life\, the Marine Raider Foundation provides them with the tools and assistance needed to ensure they succeed. We also fund awards and ceremonies that honor the accomplishments and achievements of Raiders\, as well as events that encourage personal and professional growth.\nLegacy Preservation – The United States of America’s first special operations forces were the Marine Raiders of World War Two. Today’s Raiders carry on their name and legacy\, as they are continually deployed throughout remote areas of the world\, answering our Nations’ call and keeping America forward. The Marine Raider Foundation is proud to honor these quiet professionals who are responsible for effecting positive change for future generations and preventing conflicts from arriving on our shores by funding memorials and events dedicated to their service.\n\n

Yes\, you read that right. This year will be the final year Dan and myself can commit our full attention this campaign deserves. We have overcome so much in these five years. From the start up and step off of our first ruck in 2016\, to virtually rucking all over the U.S. last year. Let’s end this year’s ruck with a bang!  That being said\, onto the exciting stuff!  The ruck will take place May 4th-7th. We cannot express our joy to be able to do this year’s ruck side by side as a family again. This year’s shirt designs are already underway! And the first benefit night\, which will be next month\, is being arranged.  Now let’s shake off that quarantine weight ?\, get our rucking legs moving ?‍♀️?‍♂️\, and get ready for the best campaign year yet!”\n-Brandon Kay

We will have a raffle\, live and silent auction\, and some unique instant buy items!  Tickets are FREE!  Rooster Tavern will be donating a portion of fixed menu sales to both organizations\, continuing their commitment to supporting the men\, women and families who serve our communities and our Nation.  Online bidding will be available for those of you unable to attend (please note that auction items including alcoholic beverages will not be available to ship). \nThe Mission2Alpha team has supported the Marine Raider Foundation since 2012\, hosting a very successful inaugural event that empowered the Foundation to assist the Marine Raider/MARSOC (Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command) community during a difficult summer where 8 brave men were killed in combat operations in Afghanistan during a very short 24-day period.  The then MARSOC Foundation stood up in May of 2012 and had very limited funds available\, and without the Mission2Alpha team (then operating as Free Wheel Foundation)\, would not have had the resources to help the families\, fellow Marines and Sailors of these heroes. \nRooster Tavern has supported the Marine Raider Foundation for the past few years through the annual Scottsdale Gun Club event. Owner Jason Horton has graciously and generously expressed his support for our military and first responder heroes.  Event attendees will be able to taste a menu that is “quite a few notches above your average bar food.” \nPlease visit the Mission2Alpha at https://mission2alpha.org for more information on their organization. \n

SUMMARY:2020 Seaside Semper Five 5K & 1-Mile Walk/Run
DESCRIPTION:The Semper Five (5K/1M) originated in 2014 to benefit the Marine Raider Foundation\, a 501c3 nonprofit that supports Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) Marines and Sailors\, World War II Marine Raiders\, and Marine Raider Families\, including Marine Raiders who are wounded\, ill and injured\, and Marine Raider Families whose Marine or Sailor made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting our Nation. \nIn the past six years\, participants from all over the world (27 states and 4 US Embassies) have made the Semper Five one of the largest 5K/1M events in New Jersey\, empowering the Marine Raider Foundation to provide our Nation’s heroes with support for needs unmet by the government and other agencies. \nAs you probably know\, a terrorist bombing at the event in 2016 prevented the race from being run. This year\, we face a new\, invisible enemy\, the Coronavirus\, which has turned so many things upside down. We do not want to cancel the event\, which has collectively raised over $250\,000 for our troops since 2014\, but due to the virus\, we are going to make an adjustment this year. \nThe date for the 2020 Seaside Semper Five is Saturday\, Oct. 3\, and hopefully\, by this date\, we will be able to run/walk the course in Seaside Heights. However\, it is possible that will not be permitted on Oct. 3\, or some of you may not feel comfortable participating at that point\, even if it is permitted. Consequently\, we are offering a virtual run/walk option\, which can be done “Anywhere/Anytime”. \nWe may not be able to notify you whether the event will be virtual or live in Seaside Heights until the end of the summer\, but we will keep you updated through our Website\, http://www.seasidesemperfive.org/ and/or email. Two of our US Embassies have already committed to participate this year\, and this year’s race shirt will be an UnderArmour long sleeve 1/4 zip pullover. \nRace registration is now open – https://runsignup.com/Race/NJ/SeasideHeights/SeasideSemperFive  . We invite you to continue your very generous support in “Helping those who have sacrificed the most.” \nGod Bless and Semper Fidelis\, \nSemper Five Committee

SUMMARY:Mint 400 Military Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The Great American Off-Road Race™ announced today the launch of The Mint 400 Military Challenge\, with the goal of raising awareness and financial support for military veterans and highlight the military’s ongoing involvement in off-road culture.  Four of the five branches of the United States military will each have their own off-road race vehicle with active duty military and veterans racing for their specific charity that focuses on the needs of its active duty members and veterans alike.  The Marine Raider Foundation is honored to be represented and have a team racing to help raise awareness for the cause!  Please visit https://www.mightycause.com/team/Bloodyridge to support the Marine Raider Foundation Team! \nThe idea is to create a public facing “race-a-thon” where companies and the general public can donate to the branch of their choice for every one mile completed\, creating a competition that people can actively participate in even if they are not at the race.  All active duty and veterans are encouraged to get behind their branch team and participate by sharing info or donating monetarily. \nThe Mint 400 Military Challenge is supported by Zero One Off-Road\, who will be fielding all the vehicles\, and Oak Grove Technologies\, who has already committed $20\,000 in financial support. Companies looking to get involved can sponsor a car\, actually come out and race with the team of their choice or simply donate. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to get involved with the Military Challenge as a sponsor please contact Mint 400 CEO Matt Martelli at Matt@themint400.com or Mint 400 Military Challenge Director Shelly Lynch at Shelly@themint400.comLashttps://themint400.com/

SUMMARY:1st Annual Marine Raider Foundation Benefit Philadelphia
DESCRIPTION:Tickets are now on sale for the First Annual Philadelphia Marine Raider Foundation Benefit! The event will be at the Union League of Philadelphia on Wednesday\, October 23rd\, from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Elliott Ackerman (https://elliotackerman.com/)\, an acclaimed author and former Marine Raider\, will be our guest speaker.\n\n \nDress code will be professional/cocktail attire (tie optional) as per the Union League’s strict attire policy for both members and guests.\n\n \nTickets can be purchased on the event website at PARaider.givesmart.com. The website also includes information about sponsorship packages and additional ways to contribute to the Foundation.\n\n \nFor those that may not yet be familiar with the Foundation\, the Marine Raider Foundation (https://marineraiderfoundation.org) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides a wide range of benevolent support to the Marine Special Operations Community. Lorelei and I had the honor to serve in this community for several years and observed first hand how integral their efforts are to Marine Raiders and their families. Since becoming more involved with the Raider Foundation\, we’ve also been very impressed with their extremely low overhead\, which guarantees that all but a small fraction of contributions go to the men and women that need it most. \n \nWe really hope you’re able to join us to support such a great cause\, and we encourage you to share the event and the Raider Foundation with anyone else you know that may be interested.

SUMMARY:2nd Annual Marine Raider "Raider Invasion" Golf Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Meet and play golf with Marines Raiders from the Special Operations Community.  In 1942\, the first two Raider Battalions were created to unleash highly trained Marines in the Pacific during World War II.  The battalions were decommissioned at the end of World War II until February 2006 when the Marine Corps stood up three battalions called\, Marine Special Operations Battalions. These battalions fall under Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) and US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). \nSince their rebirth in 2007\, they have deployed at an unprecedented rate and have upheld the tradition and deadly precision of the first Raiders.  In 2014\, the Marine Special Operations Command formally changed the name of this new band of Marine Special Operators to Marine Raiders.  In honor of these Marines and the service they provide\, the Marine Raider Foundation\, presents – Raider Invasion 2019.

SUMMARY:3rd Annual Rucking for Raiders Memorial March
DESCRIPTION:Get ready! Rucking for Raiders will be conducted its 3rd annual memorial march this spring. We will be conducted the same trek; 209 miles from Auburn\, AL to the Raider 7 Memorial in Navarre\, FL. The dates of the event will be May 7 – May 9\, 2019. \nLast year was an amazing success. In total\, we were able to raise $13\,574.15. That means that we have raised $24\,334.15 in just 2 years! 100% of those funds went to the Marine Raider Foundation with the purpose of supporting the Gold Star families of fallen Marine Raiders\, as well as Marine Raiders\, through the Tragedy Assistance & Survivor Support Program\, the Family Resiliency Program\, and the Raider Preservation Program. \nWe are extremely excited about this year and we encourage you to join us! 38 Ruckers took part in last year’s event and every one of them crushed it. Stay tuned for more updates as the event gets closer! \nYou can support the team by donating to their campaign at https://www.facebook.com/donate/384013269034812/
