DESCRIPTION:Join us for an Evening with The Marine Raider Foundation!\nJoin Mission2Alpha and the Scottsdale Gun Club as they welcome the Marine Raider Foundation for the 9th Annual Evening with the Marine Raider Foundation! \nEnjoy catered food\, drinks\, silent and live auctions while being in the company of active/retired military members and great Americans! The Silent Auction will be offered both in person and virtually\, so even if you can’t attend\, you can still bid on some great items!  Auction items will include sports and military memorabilia\, customized firearms\, and other one-of-a-kind items. \nGuest Speaker to be announced soon! \nSince 2012\, Mission2Alpha and the Scottsdale Gun Club have hosted “An Evening with the Marine Raider Foundation.”  The inaugural event held back in 2012 raised funds that were used to support the Marine Raider community following the loss of 8 Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) Marines and Sailors who were killed in combat operations during the months of July and August in 2012.  Proceeds from the 2012 event provided critical funds to help with travel to memorial services and commemorative events for the families of these brave men\, as well as for their fellow MARSOC brothers.  Over the past 8 years\, the event has raised more than $500\,000 to help assist Marine Raiders and their families during times of need.  Past Guest Speakers have included former MARSOC Commander Major General Paul Lefebvre (Retired)\, Marine Captain Derek Herrera (Retired)\, who is also the Marine Raider Foundation Board President\, Marine Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North (Retired)\, and Medal of Honor Recipient Dakota Meyer. \nIf you would like to donate an item for the auction\, please contact us (you can also fill out a Donate An Item form through the event website).  We greatly appreciate your support! \nPlease visit https://raider2020.givesmart.com to register\, make a monetary or auction item donation\, and get the latest information on an event you don’t want to miss!

DESCRIPTION:The 8th Annual Mimosa Bay Turkey Trot is going VIRTUAL. Find your favorite running path and log your miles with us. We know COVID-19 hasn’t given any of us a whole lot of options\, so we are giving you a ton of them. This is virtual\, so you have the full week of Thanksgiving (21-27Nov) to hit your goals. Our standard 5k and Kids’ 1/2 mile are back again. \nFor those who need a little extra challenge to get out of the house and hit the pavement Thanksgiving week\, we’ve added a long distance option; complete 20.20 miles\, logging your runs over the course of the week… or if you’re striving for that Marathon goal\, knock it out in one long run. \nThere are no prizes for our fastest runners this year; it’s just not realistic to capture results in this environment. Although we will not be able to have our normal raffle and race prizes\, we do have some nice prizes for our biggest fundraisers: \n\nRaise/donate $250 and earn a Marine Raider Foundation Patch.\nRaise/donate $500 and earn a Marine Raider SportTek Polo Shirt.\nAwards for top three fundraisers… details to follow.\n\nNot having a physical event with related operational expenses\, this year’s event is FREE to join! Purchase of Race Shirts is optional and will include shipping expenses. Order your shirts by November 5th and get them in time for your run and those photo ops! Save by ordering all your shirts at one time and before November 6th. Shirts will still be available to order 6-27 November\, but it’s going to cost us more\, so it will cost you more\, and you will not receive them until December 14th. \nSince 2012\, the Mimosa Bay Turkey Trot has raised over $30\,000\, which is an amazing testament to the tremendous level of community support in Sneads Ferry\, NC and the surrounding areas.  Let’s lace up those sneakers and #Run4Raiders!
